What you need
Steps
Check the rule: the nationality rules ask for the DELE at A2 level or higher, with a list of exempt nationalities.
Official A2, B1 or B2 Spanish certificates from a Spanish education authority can also prove your Spanish.
Open the DELE dates table on the Cervantes exams site and pick a call that offers A2 for the general public.
Registration for the 2027 exams opens on 18 November 2026. Each call has its own registration closing date.
Choose an exam centre and register through it, before the closing date of your call.
Registration channel and price are set by each centre.
Write your personal data in Latin letters, matching your passport or ID, on the registration form.
Sit the written parts on the call date, and check the day of your speaking test with your centre.
The speaking test can be held on a day before or after the written date.
Log in to your personal area on the Cervantes site to see your grade and download your certificate.
Done when: You have passed the DELE A2 and downloaded your certificate, or confirmed you are exempt.
What varies
Fees are set by each centre and are not on one national official page, so none is given here. Results can take time: one Cervantes centre says about three months. Centres differ on registration method and what to bring on exam day.
