Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we hold, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

luid.es is run by Alain Dimabuyo, a self-employed sole trader (autónomo) registered in Spain, at Calle Sierra Banca, Edificio nº 2, 3C, 29602 Marbella, Málaga, España. For anything in this policy, use our contact form, which is the monitored route to the data controller. Alain Dimabuyo is the data controller for the personal data described below.

What we collect

  • Directory listings. Business name, category, city, address, phone, website and languages. This is business contact information, published deliberately so people can find the service. Sole traders should be aware their business details may also identify them personally.
  • Professional accounts. If you claim or manage a listing: your email address, a hashed password, and any profile details you add.
  • Enquiries. When you contact a listed professional through the site, we store your name, email address and message, and pass them to that professional so they can reply.
  • Listing claims. Information you provide to prove you represent a business, including any documents you upload.
  • Server logs. Our web server records IP address, timestamp, requested page and browser user-agent, as standard for operating and securing a website.

Why we can use it

  • Contract — running your account and delivering enquiries to you.
  • Legitimate interests — publishing a useful directory, verifying claims, preventing abuse, and keeping the service secure.
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain records or respond to lawful requests.

Files you upload

Uploading requires a signed-in account. Photos you add to a listing are shown publicly, because that is their purpose. Documents you send to support a listing claim are private: only your own account and our administrators can retrieve them, and they are not reachable by guessing a URL.

Files are stored on our servers in the EU, separately from the public website, and are removed when the associated listing or account is deleted.

Who else sees it

We do not sell personal data. Enquiries are shared with the professional you contacted. Beyond that, data is accessible to our hosting provider as part of running the servers, and to anyone we are legally obliged to disclose it to. Our servers are located in the EU.

How long we keep it

Listings remain while published. Account data is kept while your account is open and removed on request. Enquiries are retained so professionals can refer back to them. Server logs are rotated on a short cycle.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to your data, correction of it, deletion of it, restriction of processing, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Send these through our contact form, choosing "Privacy / data request".

If you are unhappy with how we respond, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), at aepd.es.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies, described in our Cookie Policy.
