Schengen 90/180 day calculator

Enter the dates you entered and left the Schengen Area. The calculator counts the days in the 180 days up to the date you pick.

Before you use it

  • If you hold an EU residence permit or long-stay visa, you are not subject to the 90/180-day rule, as these documents allow you to stay longer than 90 days.
  • If you hold a short-stay visa, check the period of authorised stay printed on the visa sticker. If it is shorter than 90 days, do not use this calculator.

Optional. Leave both dates empty to skip.

Nothing you enter is saved or sent anywhere. It stays on this page.

How it is counted

You must count back 180 days from each day of your stay and ensure the total number does not exceed 90.

This calculator does that for every day: it looks at the day and the 179 days before it, and counts each day you were in the Schengen Area. Your entry day and your exit day both count, and days covered by two overlapping trips count once.
